I own 2 of these and wouldn't leave home without them. They are excellent for both live and studio work (I do both). They are rugged enough to take on the road (stronger steel cabinets than the newer Xenyx model plastic cases)but still light enough to tote around. With 10 pre-amped channels (8 mono, 2 stereo), 6 straight channels, 4 channel EQs, and more buttons and selections than there are democrats at a free campaign dinner, they pretty much do everything you would need in live production without any other devices. With a 99 special effect generator, 4 stereo sub channels and built in VU levels, it has about all you could want.
My only downside is the lack of any a/d-d/a converters to push the music out to either USB or Firewire inputs on your computer.
